On November 1, 2023, immediately after seeking a restraining order against Brian Glicklich in Cook County, Illinois (link), Katie Breen also made a sworn IC3 statement to the FBI, alleging apparently similar claims against Glicklich.
The FBI dispatched two task force officers to Glicklich’s home, and their interaction was taped by Glicklich’s doorbell camera. Glicklich pointed out some of the elements Katie had misrepresented in her statement.
The FBI closed their complaint without any further action when Katie’s restraining order in Cook County, Illinois was vacated by a judge.
Glicklich filed a FOIA request with the Department of Justice in March, 2024, believing that Breen may have committed a crime under 18 U.S.C. ยง 1001. Section 1001’s statutory terms are violated if someone, “makes or uses any false writing or document knowing the same to contain any false, fictitious or fraudulent statement or entry, falsifies, conceals or covers up by any trick, scheme or device a material fact,” or “makes any false, fictitious or fraudulent statements or representations.”
The FBI has indicated it does have responsive records, and Glicklich has sought the support of one of his US Senators to expedite the FOIA document production, so that he can evaluate whether to file a criminal complaint against Katie Breen.
Update: On March 9, 2025, the FBI produced records about Katie’s false complaint. Glicklich is reviewing these records.
